At farmer's markets we enjoy chatting with our customers and getting to know what they're looking for. Are you looking for a favorite scent? Perhaps you have sensitive skin - eczema or acne-prone. Dry skin? Oily skin? Looking for a shampoo bar? Need something fragrance-free? We've got you.
Here are our recommendations based on your needs (note: our soaps aren't a cure for anything, of course, but we believe they'll definitely support your quest for healthy, comfortable skin!):
Fragrance-free: sensitive nose? Prone to headaches? One customer had an autistic son who was extremely sensitive to smells. Our Unscented and Honey Oatmeal soaps are just what you are looking for.
Dry Skin: any pure goat milk soap, but especially Honey Oatmeal. Honey is a humectant (it attracts moisture), oatmeal sooths irritation, and our Honey Oatmeal soap is coconut-oil free (coconut oil has many benefits but some folks feel it exacerbates dryness, and if you have tree nut allergies coconut oil may be a problem).
Sensitive skin, eczema-prone skin: any pure goat milk soap, especially Unscented or Honey Oatmeal. Both of these soaps are fragrance-free. For some people, fragrances and essential oils cause no problems, but if your skin is sensitive or prone to irritation, a fragrance-free bar means one less potential irritant.
Oily or acne-prone skin: Autumn Garden with French Green Clay. French Green Clay is known for its purifying and oil-mitigating properties.
Rough skin: any goat milk + beer soap. The amino acids and B vitamins in beer nourish and soften skin.
Shampoo bar: any goat milk + beer soap. Our goat milk + beer bars have a slightly lower oil content, which means they don't weigh down or make hair oily. Amino acids and B vitamins from the beer support hair health and make it soft and shiny.
Odor-mitigating: got smelly hands after cleaning fish or from cooking with garlic? Our Mocha Valencia Chef's Soap is just what you're looking for. Cinnamon leaf and orange essential oils combine with coffee and cocoa powder to leave your skin smelling fresh and feeling clean.
